If you have a 48 degree pitching wedge and a 56 degree sand wedge, your gap is filled at 52 degrees. Add a gap wedge that fits between the two lofts. The length of your wedges should mirror that of your regular irons. The wedges will be shorter in about one-half inch increments. When choosing a sand wedge, consider the type of conditions in which you play most often.
